Review of "Cha-Cha & ZEE Explore Our Nation's Capital"

Cha-Cha & ZEE Explore Our Nation's Capital

Next time you go on vacation, watch where you leave your guidebook...you never know who will pick it up! In this adventurous new book from Indigo Tyler, a family visiting the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. accidentally left their guidebook behind in the penguin house. What ensues is a rollicking good time, had by two of the penguins, Cha-Cha and ZEE. They enjoy all the sights, sounds, and even smells of our nations capital. They hop on the Metro, visit the Capitol building, and explore the Smithsonian Institue. Then, they explore the White House and the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. They are even planning their next adventure, 1600 miles away in San Antonio, Texas!

The artwork is well made, with many pictures consisting of photos with the two penguins digitally imposed seamlessly over the top. There is also a well-illustrated mep of the city, for help in locating any of the mentioned landmarks. This book belongs in all classrooms that are studying our nation's capital. Well done!
